Description

Built around 1280 by Florent V, Muiderslot has had an eventful history: besieged, destroyed, rebuilt and transformed over the centuries, it was home to the poet Pieter Corneliszoon Hooft and the famous Cercle de Muiden in the 17th century. Today, the castle showcases a collection of period objects and furniture, while offering an interactive tour of its military and cultural past.
