The Bubble is a landmark building in the center of Eindhoven, recognized for its avant-garde design and dome-shaped structure. Covering 600 m² across three floors, it is part of a modern urban ensemble alongside the Blob and the Tube bicycle station, located on 18 Septemberplein. Its triangular glass façade and steel framework give it a futuristic aesthetic while maximizing interior light.

An architecture by Massimiliano Fuksas
The building was designed by Italian architect Massimiliano Fuksas, in collaboration with Tarra architectuur en stedenbouw. The goal was to create a sustainable and innovative structure, ensuring smooth visitor circulation while guaranteeing optimal comfort.
Its design is based on a self-supporting structure, combining complex geometric forms such as pentagons and hexagons, held together by an invisible steel frame. A central skylight illuminates the building’s three levels, creating an airy and contemporary atmosphere.
Perfect integration into the urban landscape
Thanks to the absence of visible fixings, unlike the Blob, the Bubble seems to float in space. Its appearance recalls a water droplet or soap bubble, with a taut and transparent surface that reflects the surrounding cityscape. Its integration within Eindhoven’s modern architecture reinforces the city’s dynamic and innovative identity.
A destination for fashion and design
Today, the Bubble hosts the America Today store, which benefits from a prime location in this unique architectural setting. This blend of retail and design contributes to making the 18 Septemberplein architectural cluster a true attraction for visitors and contemporary architecture enthusiasts.
