Ice Bar

A bar made entirely of ice

Located just a stone’s throw from Rembrandtplein, the Amsterdam Icebar welcomes you into a setting carved entirely from ice. Inside, the temperature is kept at -10 °C. Walls, counter, sculptures… everything is frozen. Upon entering, you will be given a warm coat and gloves to help you survive the cold while you explore the main area.

A two-part adventure

The experience begins in the main bar, a cozy tavern inspired by Dutch sailors. There, you will exchange your first token for a drink of your choice. When the ship’s bell rings, you will be invited to enter the ice bar for 20 minutes of immersion in the heart of the Arctic. You will receive two more drinks, served in real ice glasses.

An immersion inspired by history

The Icebar pays tribute to the explorer Willem Barentsz, who set off for the North Pole in 1596. His mission was halted by ice and he had to spend the winter in Nova Zembla, surrounded by polar bears and icy winds. The bar recreates this atmosphere with ice sculptures, blue lighting, and tales of exploration.

A must-see attraction in Amsterdam

An unusual activity to enjoy with friends or as a couple, the Icebar combines spectacular decor, an original atmosphere, and a memorable sensory experience. You can also leave with a souvenir photo taken on site. Admission is strictly reserved for adults (18+), upon presentation of valid ID.
