
Mondo Verde World Gardens is a unique family park located in Landgraaf, on a former mining spoil tip. Spanning 25 hectares, it combines themed gardens from around the world, exotic animals, and fun attractions for both children and adults.

A reshaped landscape
The park was created on a leveled spoil tip, redesigned into terraces. Opened in 2002, it underwent restructuring after 2006 before reopening in 2008 under new ownership, who enriched the experience with animals, attractions, and captivating landscaping.
World gardens and exotic nature
At Mondo Verde, visitors can explore a wide range of gardens: *Italianate*, *Moroccan*, *Japanese*, *Chinese*, *Russian*, *English*, as well as desert landscapes. Highlights include the vast 4,000 m² tropical greenhouse with birds, monkeys, lush plants, and waterfalls, along with a massive aviary known as the “Vogelparadijs.”
Wildlife and family attractions
- A zoo featuring lions, tigers, panthers, lemurs, and other mammals.
- Children’s rides: two family roller coasters, a swinging ship, a drop tower, carousels, trampolines, a Dino zone, and water play areas.
- Recent additions include the “Havana Spinning Adventure” ride and seasonal attractions.
