History and concept
Originally created by American explorer and cartoonist Robert Ripley, the “Believe It or Not!” collection brings together extraordinary objects discovered all over the world. The Amsterdam branch, located on the famous Dam Square, offers total immersion in this universe where the unusual becomes the norm.
The experience
From the entrance, the tone is set: a real wooden Bugatti and a giant Hulk entirely made of bolts welcome visitors. Each room reveals authentic and astonishing pieces, presented in a playful and interactive way.
Highlights
- Deformed Amazonian skulls and genuine ethnographic objects.
- An original Fabergé egg, a symbol of art and luxury.
- An impressive T-rex head and a giant robot made of car parts.
- Extraordinary figures such as Robert Wadlow, the tallest man in the world, or Bobby Blackburn with crocodile-like teeth.
- Optical illusions and interactive settings: spinning tunnel, miniature Dutch windmill, reconstruction of Amsterdam under water.
- Immersive spaces dedicated to local culture and music.
Relaxation and panoramic view
At the end of the tour, visitors can relax in the panoramic lounge, which offers one of the best views over Dam Square while enjoying a coffee or a snack.
