Set in a forest on the southern edge of the Veluwe, the Vrijenberger Spreng waterfalls are not natural but undeniably charming: a stepped watercourse built along an old channel creates a discreet and unusual aquatic spectacle.

Technique and aesthetics
Spread over five successive steps, the waterfall creates a drop of about 15 metres — a modest hydraulic feat, yet unique in the Netherlands. The water flows freely over irregular stone slabs, forming a lively scene at the edge of the forest.
A nature stop in the Veluwe
- A quiet spot ideal for wandering, often included in local hiking routes.
- A bench along the path allows visitors to watch the gentle sound of the water and the play of light through the trees.
- A small bridge or footbridge invites you to pause and listen to the flowing water in full immersion.
